Safety Education, Excavator Seminars,
and Damage Prevention Meetings

OHIO811’s Public Awareness & Services Coordinators (Liaisons) facilitate understanding amongst stakeholders to foster cooperation amongst stakeholders. Liaisons collaborate directly with utility owners, municipalities, excavators, utility locators, and the public to promote public safety through safe excavation.

As part of the Public Education and Outreach team, Liaisons serve the underground damage prevention community by delivering free safety presentations, excavator seminars, and community outreach events and partnerships. OHIO811 Liaisons are actively engaged in Ohio’s six Damage Prevention Councils (DPCs) / Utility Safety Councils and five Utility Coordinating Councils (UCCs), supporting ongoing communication in the field.
